Functions and Receptions
 

We cater for functions of any size and nature, including conferences, 21st birthday parties, matric farewells, weddings, reunions etc. Set menus are available, but a menu of your own choice can easily be compiled. A price list of the various menus is listed. Prices include the following:

Rent of hall (on our premises)
Use of tablecloths and coloured "overlays"
Use of tables and buffet tables
Use of cutlery and crockery for example: dinner plates, side plates, cups etc.
Wages for washing of dishes, setting tables, service and tables
Use of chairs
Use of hot trays and bain-marine

You are welcome to cater for your own function, just ask for our information pamphlet about the rent of the premises.

FLOWERS

We will gladly do all flower arrangements, but you must supply the flowers and foliage, you may also provide your own arrangements if you prefer. Feel free to voice your opinion if you are not entirely happy with any aspect of the decorations.

BAR FACILITIES

We are fully licensed and supply strong liquor and wines from our Nuy area. The bar will close at 00:00, but a barman can be hired after hours, at an extra cost.

WINE PRICES

Grape juice (white) R25.00 per bottle
White wine from R33.00 per bottle
Red wine from R35.00 per bottle
Sparkling wine from R40.00 per bottle
Muscadel/Sherry from R40.00 per bottle

The replacement value of glasses by the guests will be added to your final account. If you supply your own wine there will be a corkage fee of R12.00 per bottle.

No strong liquor will be allowed onto the premises. Please inform all guests.

CATERING

We offer a number of prepared menus, or you can create your own menu in order to suite your particular needs. Please note that all leftover food will be regarded as the property of the Restaurant (seeing that we have to prepare extra food for the staff).

We take the utmost pride in our products and services and will not allow any foods, meats or “punches” (other than our own) to be brought into the venue.

LIABILITY AND RISKS INVOLVED

Guests enter the premises at their own risk. The replacement value of any property (including tablecloths, flower stands, any crockery etc.), that is damaged or destroyed by guests, will be added to the final invoice.

OTHER REGULATIONS

Meals on Sundays are available only if advertised or booked for groups of ten or more people. Personal appointments must be made well in advance. The provisional booking must be confirmed with a deposit of 20% within two weeks from the date on which the booking was made. A further deposit of 30% is required within three (3) months prior to your function date. That means that a deposit of 50% must be paid in full three (3) months prior to your specific date. Please Note: No deposit will be returned after the cancellation of your booking, unless another booking is made for the same date.

Example only: Number of guests x price per person
100 x R150 = R15 000
Thus 20% deposit = R3 000
Three (3) months prior to function a further 30% deposit = R4 500
A full deposit of 50% paid within the three (3) months prior to the function = R7 500
